How to forward an MS Teams meeting invitation to another person
Say you’ve already created a Teams meeting and have already invited people, and then further people need to be added: how do you invite the extra people without having to re-send the meeting invitation to everyone who’s already received it?
The problem
Sometimes, if we’ve already invited a group of people to an MS Teams meeting, but then we wish to invite further people to the Teams meeting, we may be tempted to simply add the new invitees to the original meeting invitation and re-send the Teams invitation. The drawback with that is that it will also re-send the invitation everyone who has already received it.
So is there a way we can send the invitation to the new invitees only?
Solution
STEP 1
In Outlook Calendar, right-click on the Teams meeting entry:
STEP 2
From the drop-down menu, a ‘Forward’ option is available. This option will enable you to send your MS Teams meeting invitation to your new invitees only.
Note
This same approach for forwarding a meeting invitation will also work even if you did not create the original Teams meeting invitation.
