The guidelines cover the use of both PC (Windows) and Mac computers – where usage differs between the operating systems.

Screen Capture
Record things that happen on your computer desktop, e.g. take a still picture of your computer desktop or of images that appear on your computer desktop, or how to make a video recording of things that happen on your computer desktop.

Lecture, Presentation and Classroom Recording
Make a recording of your lecture, presentation or classroom activity – this could be a recording of your voice only, or a video recording of the lecture, or a student role-play session; and how to turn this recording into something that can be used to enhance teaching and learning.

Lecture and Presentation Broadcast
Schedule and deliver an online presentation or classroom activity that participants/students can log in to and interact with in real time, from remote/off campus locations.

Multimedia Production
Create multimedia-based teaching and learning objects. E.g. how to make an audio recording whilst sitting at your office computer, or how to add a spoken voice recording to a PowerPoint presentation.
