The use of online scenarios can be an effective method for teaching and learning.

With some basic knowledge of web authoring techniques you can create scenario-based learning objects and make these available to students in Blackboard

To see a working example of a scenario-based learning object in Blackboard, you must be enrolled on the CELT Blackboard Content Development Community shell (this is only availbale to DMU Staff)

A publicly accessible version of the scenario can be found at:

The creation of scenario-based learning objects will require up-skilling in some of the basics of web authoring for those who have not had any previous experience of web authoring (HTML), and it should be noted that the creation of these types of resources does require an investment of time.

If you are interested in exploring the potential of these kinds of scenarios for teaching and learning please contact your Faculty ELT Project Officer
