I am an ELT Project Officer within the CELT team, part of Library and Learning Services (LLS).
I have responsibility for developing the BAL faculty’s academic implementation of ELT systems – as part of this role I provide support and guidance for staff on the use of our core technologies.
As part of my wider role, I specialise in developing E-assessment and feedback and have a particular interest in digital identities/footprints, as well as the use of social media for teaching and learning.
I am also studying for a PhD at DMU, exploring the relationship between higher education policy and technology implementation within University’s, with a particular focus of how this relationship between policy and technology implementation impacts the social function of the ‘University’ post 1992.
Before joining DMU, I worked as a Learning Technologist at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham. Here, I supported and developed the use of a virtual learning environment (Moodle) and had primary responsibility for leading the delivery of online assessments, providing pedagogical and technical support in the delivery of online assessments using the virtual learning environment.
I have a first-class BA (Hons) in Film Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Gloucestershire, as well as a Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) accredited MSc in Information and Knowledge Management from London Metropolitan University. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
